The short version

  • Cookies that keep the site working are always on. Everything else stays off until you choose.
  • Analytics cookies only run if you accept them, and we never use them to identify you.
  • We don’t sell your data or use cookies to follow you around the web.
  • You can change your choices at any time with the round cookie button at the bottom of every page.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. They help a site remember things, like your cookie choices or that you’re signed in, and help us understand which pages are useful. Some features use similar storage in your browser instead. For example, our accessibility tool remembers your text size and contrast settings on your device.

Changing your choices

Select the round cookie button in the bottom corner of any page to review or change your choices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as expected. To opt out of Google Analytics on every website, you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Updates to this policy

We’ll update this page if the cookies we use change, for example when we add a new tool. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
